"Good choice on the store, Alex." Fortunately, the dress she liked was in
her size, but she still debated if she had time to try it on... "Any ideas
on a gift?" Kristin asked Alex, trying to decide the time frame they were
working with.
"Try on the dress and I'll look." Alex winked and did just that, half
mumbling ideas as she went.
Kristin was glad that she was shopping with Alex; having known Julia for
just a couple of hours, Kristin was wracking her brain for a wedding gift
that Derek and Julia would both like, and Alex would be perfect at picking
out something Julia would like.
Pleasantly surprised that the dress fit perfectly--on the first try!
Kristin stepped out of the dressing room and paid for the dress, still
considering, and rejecting, various gift ideas.
Turning from the counter, Kristin called to Alex, "One down, a few more
things to go-how'd you make out with the dress?"
