"A bachlorette party? Oh, most definitely!" Thinking about it a moment
and catching the playful glint in Alex's eyes, Kristin smiled. "Although
technically it should be held before the wedding, we can make an exception -
due to lack of time. And I'm sure the guys can keep themselved amused if us
girls wisk Julia away for night..."
Alex chuckled and admitted "If it's one thing you need to learn about those
two, even before they were together-together they still had a way of doing
things all their own."
They made it to the ferry and boarded. She thought back over their years of
working together and couldn't help but chuckle.
"There were times that Derek drove us nuts with the way he did the "I'm the
Precept, that's why" routine after we asked for something and he said no and
we asked why. The heating system we have now? Julia got him to bend on it.
And I swear she got Nick into the habit of sitting on the table just to pick
on Derek, having done it herself to begin with."
"It's kind of cute," she said, only to correct herself and grin some more
"Okay it *is* cute,"
She took an airy 'matriarch' pose and tone "Mister Derek Rayne, Professor
and Chairman of the Luna Foundation-"
Then she switched to an almost sixties free child "And Miss Julia 'bust the
crooked Dean for having sex with the co-eds for grades' Walker."
She laughed "You would have never guessed that Julia comes from money like
Derek does. Actually, Derek doesn't act like he comes from the money he
does except when he has to."
She 'rubbed elbows' with Kristin "Luna Foundation fundraisers and all of
that."
