Listening to Jane, Kristin finally got a couple of words in. "Okay
Jane, not a problem...I'll be there." With a slight frown she hung
up.
Amber coming to San Francisco? Wondering why, she glanced at the
time;
she had a few hours before she had to be at the airport to pick Amber
up, so she was going to enjoy dinner.
"Problem?" Philip asked quietly.
"I don't think so," Kristin kept her voice low. "That was Jane from
Boston. Apparently, Amber is coming to San Francisco and Jane asked me
to pick her up at the airport." Kristin looked thoughtful. "Would you
mind coming with me when I go? She won't be here for a few hours, so
we can enjoy dinner...Amber reminds me a bit of Kat; she's 18 and has
grown up in the House; she's a bit withdrawn, so it might be a good
idea to 'ease' her into meeting everybody slowly." Then she grinned.
"Besides, I'd like the company."
