Philip sat back and handed the menu to the waiter before listening to
Nick and Kat with a humorous expression. Then he looked at Kristin
and asked half joking "So what did ye order since I already spoiled
yer dinner?"
Smiling, Kristin was about to answer when her cell phone rang. The
call was quick; it was Amber, she'd arrived and was waiting at the
airport.
"I guess it's a good thing you spoiled dinner; that was Amber, she's
at the airport, so I've got to run out and pick her up. I'm going to
ask Derek if I can borrow his SUV, then I'll bring her back here;"
Kristin arched her eyebrow and smiled. "I could use some company...and
we can make it back in time for dessert," she added.
