Derek took her hand and started towards the living room. "The floor? Julia
you recall that I'm an old man don't you? I might not be able to get up
from down there."
After all he'd been shoved around by vampires just that morning and was
feeling every bit of his age now.
"You are not old." Julia sat him down and kissed him with a wink before
setting up the area in front of it herself "Trust me, you'll love it."
She set up pillows, pushed the coffee table out of the way, and put the
movies into the state of the art player provided by the hotel, impressed
that it would play the tapes, one after the other, with a simple push of the
button instead of a person having to get up and change out the video. Then
she went to the kitchen, got the drinks and brought back a big bowl.
She kissed him as she passed him and then went to go turn down the lights
until it really did resemble a dark theatre. Then she came back, put the
bowl down on the floor next to where she planned on sitting, and then did
just that, pouring the bag of popcorn in it and then holding out her hand
for her husband to join her.
Julia smiled and sighed when he did and she got them comfy with Derek laying
with his back against her and reclined. She handed him the remote and
kisses the top of his head before starting to massage his shoulders.
"Start when you're ready." she told him, working the kinks out of his
shoulders and neck but careful not to hurt his arm.
