He took a deep breath before addressing her second question.  "The worst
case won't happen," he assured her.  "They have to have some proof for that.

"At the most, they will decide that you are no longer a member of the
Legacy.  But they can't harm you.  They could also see to it that Amelia
would never be apart of the organization.  But they won't, I feel confident
that things will work out."

She accepted the first answer but had to grin crookedly at the second, a
glint of humorous satisfaction in her gaze as she met his and admitted "They
can't do that.  Not during this Tribunal anyway.  You aren't the only one
that knows the by-laws in and out.  They have to prove by work or deed in
order to remove me from the Legacy.  You can't just up and fire someone at
will.  And, umm..  I have some things for them to look over with the current
reason they're stating may be a reason to keep me in inactive status."

Maybe it wasn't as bad as her dream indicated, she thought, looking down at
her hands.  One could only hope anyway.

She then looked back up at him and smiled softly "What's for lunch?"
