Rachel came into Dere's office looking for him. She
felt she had to get out of the legacy house for a
while. Go home. be with her daughter. But she did not
want to leave without explaining. She hoped he
wouldn't be to angry with her.
She felt a little as if she was abandoning her
friends, but couldn't help it. Her daughter was
everything to her, And right now she needs to be by
her side.
She came into the office and looked at Derek and Nick
working together.
"Derek" she said, "I need to tell you something. I
need to go home for a while. For my sake and for
Kat's. I know this probably is not a good time to take
personal time, but I need to be alone with my
daughter. if only for a few days."
She took a deep breath then continued, "I need to feel
like a mother again. to bond with my child. I feel I
let her down badly. I just wanna make it up to her for
a while. I can't do it here. We need to go home. Be on
our own, just the two of us. Please don't refuse me.
I'm only a phone call away. If you'll need me for an
urgent thing I'll be here, but if not then I'll just
be home, where I belong."
