Rachel was looking at him a bit surprised. She didn't
think he'd agree without at least a little lecture.
She came close to him and took his hands in hers.
"Thank you Derek. And I do mean it if you need my help
all you have to do is call. I will not abandon my
responsibilities." She then stood on her toes kissing
him on the cheek saying, "Thank you and
congratulations, I am in your debt. You, Julia and
Nick. Thank you for bringing my daughter back to me."
She walked over to where Nick was sitting, stood
behind him and wrapped her arms around his shoulders.
"Thank you Nick," she said kissing his cheek as well.
"I will never forget all you have done for me and for
Kat."
She turned to look at Derek. "If you want me to talk
to Amber, you can just send her over to me in the
mornings when Kat is at school. I'll do all I can to
help."
With that she turned towards the door ready go get Kat
and leave.
