She reached over and got some shampoo to wash her hair, closing her eyes and lightly humming a tune.
Derek awoke, but only slightly to find the space in bed beside him empty. He wondered vaguely where Julia was and then hearing the sound of running water assumed she must be in the shower. He rolled over and glanced at the clock, groaning at the sight of the hour. How he ever ended up living with so many "morning people" was a complete mystery to him. He closed his eye once more listening to the rythmic sound of the running water and soon began to doze again.
