Derek awoke, but only slightly to find the space in bed beside him empty. He wondered vaguely where Julia was and then hearing the sound of running water assumed she must be in the shower. He rolled over and glanced at the clock, groaning at the sight of the hour. How he ever ended up living with so many "morning people" was a complete mystery to him. He closed his eye once more listening to the rhythmic sound of the running water and soon began to doze again.
Julia finished with the shower, got out and toweled off and then changed and dried her hair, cleaning up as she went so that Derek wouldn't have to accidentally pick up her hair brush and dunk it in shaving cream and hitting himself in the face before realizing what it was. The mental image she had just made had her grinning from ear to ear, not really sure if he would really do that but knowing that, when it came to mornings, he wasn't a morning person. Then again, she thought wryly, remembering yesterday morning, she hadn't been either. At least she wasn't feeling that way now. Of course, she thought, remembering Jonathan's 'cure all' to hopefully curb that feeling, maybe she should grab some crackers while getting the others ready to leave. With that in mind and grinning as she had had to start wearing a new size in clothes and so was wearing a looser shirt and nice comfortable 'stirrups' she went and did just what she was thinking about earlier and leaned over to gently kiss Derek on the lips, smiling in between as she tried to keep her now dried hair from falling around their faces - and succeeded for the most part - and watched him stir. "Mornin, handsome." she murmured, giving him another kiss, blue eyes showing both love and humor at his morning disposition. _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
