MessageBryce had to chuckle at this remark. "Have you ever been to Alaska?
Treacherous whether up there is like fog in San Francisco. Besides, Dad
never was someone who would do something the easy way. It runs in the
family too, I've gone on almost as many crazy trips as he has just to get
some good picture. I nearly fell off a cliff once trying to get a nice shot
of a waterfall. If we want something bad enough we'll take pretty much any
risk."

The waitress came with their food and set it down before each of them.
Then, making sure their drinks were full, she left.

Julia listened to what Bryce was saying as she laid a table napkin on her
lap, at the same time trying to think of anything that might have linked all
of this together.

"Yes, I realize that, but there are times when good judgement should take
precedence," Derek said putting his own napkin inhis lap and taking a bite
of his potato. It was much better than he expected it be. In fact it was
exactly what he wanted. After taking a sip of milk,, which he had also
ordered, he looked back at the photographer. "Of course I have a young
friend who had similar tendencies. Do you have any family in San
Francisco?"
