With that, Julia headed toward the Control Room, pressing the button to the phone once she got in and speaking again as she slipped behind another computer terminal and accessing a satellite. She gave Derek a quick smile, who was standing behind her and then turned partially toward the phone "I went ahead and patched you into the speaker phone so the others helping can hear you too. What were you saying?"
When Bryce repeated the part about Nome, Julia typed in a quick command to the terminal, zeroing the satellite in on any odd heat signatures. Bryce ran through everything he had just told Julia. "He also seemed real pleased with his find. Sais it was some kind of ornate wooden box, he just hasn't found a key yet." That was a part that really confused him. Why would his father ask for his help in that matter? "Then he told me he wanted to see me and asked me to come home." "Shi-" Nick barely stopped himself from finishing off the curse, although he was sure the others knew exactly what he meant. "That what I said when we lost our keys." Alex admitted to him quietly, so that the caller couldn't hear the comment. "I remember." Nick replied wryly, looking at Derek. Did the Precept still want them to continue checking on Bryce's father?
