Julia nodded at Nick's instruction, her chin raising a notch as she turned to the Soulchaser and said low and in no uncertain terms "I don't give a damn what you think your priority is.  I'm telling you it's Derek.  When the time comes you better stick to him like glue and I'm not giving you an option."

"And in case you don't see the point of what I'm telling you," she added before the others joined them "I can hold out against anything but It hurting Derek.  So next time I tell you to stick with him, damn it, try and stick to your assignment or I'll damn well shove that stick of yours in the most uncomfortablest of positions so that you have to limp for eternity and stab escaped souls with your ass.  Do we understand each other?"

Derek may have glared or tried to call the Soulchaser to task but even now there was no mistaken that, even in mortal form, the Walker was not going to take 'no' for an answer and would keep to her word.

And without another one to the one that was the keeper of damned souls, she looked at the others and pointed for Bryce to point the way "You heard the man, let's go."
