Title: Message
Derek may have glared or tried to call the Soulchaser to task but even now there was no mistaken that, even in mortal form, the Walker was not going to take 'no' for an answer and would keep to her word.

And without another one to the one that was the keeper of damned souls, she looked at the others and pointed for Bryce to point the way "You heard the man, let's go."

Nothing more needed to be said on either the part of Julia or the Soulchaser.  When he came to help, the guardian of souls had a few doubts.  He wondered if her return to the realm of the mortals, had also returned her to weaknesses that came with being mortal.  But now he aaw that this incarnation of the walker was just as strong, if not more so, than the one who had faught alongside him on the ethereal battlefeilds.  A smile crept across his face as he looked at Julia, his eyes conveying a look of respect, and an unspoken reinforcement of his promise to her.

Suddenly, with the soulchaser now as her parnter, instead of just her bodyguard, the Demon;s chances of success seemed rather bleak.

"Follow me," Bryce said, getting his bearings and setting off toward the cave.  He knew this area as well os nmost of the natives did, so they would have the quickest and easiest way to get there.

But still there was a lump in his throat. He feared that whatever took Derek and Kristin, may have also taken his father.  Looking over to the large man, whom he could now guess was something other than human.  "When you saw them in that cave," he began to ask.  "Was my dad with them?"

The large man looked over to Julia first wityh a questioning glance, before turning back to Bryce.  "No," he answered simply.

They continued on up the trail.
