Derek watched as the others left and looked at his wife and daughter.  He
felt suddenly uncomfortable.  After all, there was nothing for him to do.
Julia was the one the baby needed now. and he felt odd just hovering over
them.  Hesitantly, he pulled a chair to the bedside and sat down.
