Yes, you'll see this if you use the ShadowDOM polyfill since it doesn't
enforce styling encapsulation. If you use native ShadowDOM (Canary +
experimental web platform features) the styles won't apply.

You'll need to include the necessary styling inside any shadowRoot that
needs it.
