There is at least one nasty bug in 4.2.8. http://bugs.ntp.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2831 Other than that, I haven't had any problems. :( I get a SegFault on FreeBSD. Something very similar also happens on Fedora and Debian: malloc and/or pthread_create stops working. It's all tangled up with DNS which means you can't use the pool if you happen to trigger this bug. I've got a solid test case, but haven't found anything suspicious in ntp code. Can anybody point me at a web page explaining how to debug libc? Fedora or Debian or Ubuntu. I have no reason to be suspicious of libc code, but I'd like to find out what is getting smashed. -- These are my opinions. I hate spam. _______________________________________________ pool mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ntp.org/listinfo/pool
