Looking around, it appears that Meinberg offer some PCIe cards nowadays
(rather than serial connected units) but I can't seem to find anyone who has
configured these or similar as a stratum 0 source. They appear to offer
Windows and Linux drivers.

We are very satisfied with Meinberg GPS170PCI card on a PC with Centos7. I tried several possible ways to use this card and I ended up at SHM refclock. Using software temperature compensation the offset rms moves around 0.6 microseconds (see http://lxn.ujf.cas.cz/ntp/). Both computer and GPS170PCI are several years old.
