My clients successfully deletes the mail off the Yahoo server following
the downloading of mail.
First double check your configuration. You use OE, correct? Go into
Properties of your account and select the Advance tab and make sure you
do NOT have the Leave mail on server check box, checked.
Another cause of your findings is that your connection may break before
you have downloaded all mail off the server, which prevents the signal
given to delete the messages. In other words, if there are 10 messages
to download, but you lose your signal after downloading 9 messages, the
Yahoo server may have not gotten your signal to delete the mail.
Consequently, the next time you access your POP3 account at Yahoo, you
will be re-downloading those same 9 messages.
