OK, it seems to want to do the sending before checking for
mail, which goes against their rules, doesn't it?

The connection to the server mailandnews.com repeatedly
fails.  Maybe I'll have to use them only for incoming mail,
e.g. InfoBeat, and log in to their webmail if I absolutely
have to.  Anyhow the incoming mail I can rout(e) to
Netscape.
