I also enjoyed the Cider House Rules, but what I disliked most about
the movie was its soundtrack. I though it was a poor choice. The movies
subjects (abortion, abandoned children, incest, etc.) where so strong,
that I felt the soundtrack, being so cutesy, tried to make the movie into
a wholesome family thing, reminding me of those Hallmark Card movies they
show on television (which I happen to enjoy as well). The soundtrack just
seemed to try to soften the impression that the action of the characters
took.
Just my 2 cents,
Danae
