i'm sorry but i can't see why you'd bother to defend the spice girls at all.
they've put out fun pop but how does that contribute anything of worth to
music? i suppose the backstreet boys and s club sheisen also put out worth?
don't get me wrong, i think it's pointless to slag pointless bands too
(because they're going to win those awards anyway) but i do agree that it's
a shame that absolute brilliance has to fade into dust or be insulted by the
nme or other press, calling them "irrelevant" or "yesterday". yes, today
(and throughout the years) bad music is relevant, irrelevance has become
relevant, and the people who make it are going to win an award for it. but
let's not be brainwashed by catchy hooks that anybody can write, shall we?
that just gives me the creeps! :(
