Hello Alberts

I am not sure, but for me, normal behaviour is open a pdf quickly, but it is the firts time that I use poppler.

About second point:

"

Get a profiler, see where the bottleneck is, send a patch that makes it
faster.

"
I am sorry but I dont understand well. Sorry but my english is bad. Could you explain again, please??

Thank very much.

Hello everybody,

I just use poppler in my embedded system with Qt embedded and it works
fine. But there is something strange, if I open pdf files with a lot of
pictures, the cpu usage go up to 100% for several seconds(some times,
more than 20 seconds) .
My system is:
Geode LX 500Mhz
2.6.24.7-rt26
Qt embedded 4.5.0

is it normal??
I guess it is. You are rendering a complex pdf and it needs time to render it,
what makes you think this is not normal behaviour?

Can I avoid this behaviour??
Get a profiler, see where the bottleneck is, send a patch that makes it
faster.

Albert

Best regards
