Update or delete port, how to decide?

I recently got an email from the package building machine (14-current) about a 
port (mail/xmail) that I created quite a number of years ago that no longer 
wants to build.
Is there a way to tell if anyone is still using it so I can figure out if I 
want to invest the time in a major update to the port, or whether it should 
just be removed.
