No, lame support is configured in the program preferences. It is to the
user to choose. Either he does not want to export to mp3 and it is fine,
or he wants to export to mp3, and then he installs lame and configure it
in the audacity preferences.

Yes it is :)
It is for plugins, and audacity does not come with any buit-in analyze
commands.
So, as far as I can see, the only problem so far is the segfault on
Online Help. I can't reproduce this, but I have no sparc64, so if anyone
running that platform could confirm this, I would appreciate.
