If it shouldn't depend on gconf2 it should use --disable-gnome-thumbnailers.
Okay, i see.. by default, --enable-gnome-thumbnailers looks for Gconf during configure, and effectively activates them if Gconf is found.. i'll explicitely disable them. Landry
