You should talk to the maintainer *before* working on your update. Because maintainer might have already done it, or is working on it... I don't like wasting time working on sth and in the middle of the process see an update for it on [EMAIL PROTECTED] I feel like "couldn't you tell me you were working on an update so I wouldn't lose my time?"
