again, like on the uae post, there is a cleaned up version of the original quake/quakeworld code in a project called tyr-quake, and its only goal is to improve the original code without introducing fluff. the only issue i have with it after building is sound actually. so offtopic, but perhaps jason if you play quake a lot you might want to check it out, i have some old files from the last time i played with porting available here: http://slipgate.org/ports/wip/tyrquake/ again, i realize you are just trying to clean teh tree of non friendly audio ports so i'm not trying to stack any workloads, just sharing ideas as i seem them come up :D cheers, -ryan
