hi there,

since some time now, mplayer's filters:

vf = pp=ac
vf = pp=fa
vf = pp=de

reproducably, regularly crash mplayer with almost
any movie i throw at it, although so far i couldn't
make 'pp7' or 'spp' crash, although these are quite
slow on my netbook.

i will try to produce a bug report per instructions,
here i am just asking if others can easily reproduce this?

I was unable to reproduce this on my workstation with a:
vga1 at pci0 dev 2 function 0 "Intel Q45 Video" rev 0x03

However, can you try the following patch which brings mplayer to today's
snapshot. I'm attaching the distfile, as my website is dead for some reason.

I am noticing a smoother framerate with this new version, so I will be looking
to update the mplayer port after unlock.

NOTES:
   - libfaad is now gone from mplayer internally
   - seems like mplayer wont build with our in tree dvdnav and they have not
     yet rolled a new release, so we will use the internal version for now.
   - MPlayer no longer distributes ffmpeg inside their sources, so I have
     manually exported it from git for us and included it in the distfile.

BTW, you can add --disable-faad, drop the LIB_DEPENDS and get rid of an
extraneous dependency.
