sorry for the delay. i am ashamed to report that marc.info truncated your file and the thread has not been updated by a link from where i could download that mplayer snapshot. the only contribution i can make at this point is that the same is happening exactly the same way in a vmware player instance of openbsd (in addition to my eeepc netbook) so i think a lot of people should be able to reproduce. what is the next step? i have hosting myself, i can host your file as well Ed, or if you describe the steps i can try and svn up it myself from the mplayer hq. for now i will build a debug flavour of the current version and collect traces. -f -- individualists of the world - unite!
