I requested Naddy to commit for "replacement for nvi-m17n".  Japanese
like me use wide char or multi byte texts for daily work.  I had used
nvi-m17n for long time, but nowadays nvi-m17n became useless because
it doesn't support UTF-8.  For example, it cannot be used with
uxterm.

BTW, I could not find the `earlier discussions'.  Could you point it
for me?
