It works perfectly fine for me on the latest snapshot (dmesg attached).
Could this be a radeon vs. intel difference? (My system has only
a radeon card in it).
Also, while mednafen can emulate a large number of systems, many
in the emulation community find that "kitchen-sink" emulators
tend to lack the accuracy and/or quality of dedicated emulators.
I can't say with any definiteness that the PSX emulation quality
is better or worse with mednafen, but I *can* say that many
system specific features are easier to use in dedicated emulators
as opposed to mednafen, so I would strongly advise against removing
other emulators just because there's a "kitchen-sink" emulator that
already does it, though in this case I understand that you were
approaching it from the viewpoint that pcsxr was broken, which
obviously tends to change things.
