Great, thanks for replying. That definitely changes things. > Could this be a radeon vs. intel difference? (My system has only > a radeon card in it). That makes sense. The last time I ran it where it worked (a year or two ago), it was with a radeon , but the system I tested it on now uses an intel. > Also, while mednafen can emulate a large number of systems, many > in the emulation community find that "kitchen-sink" emulators > tend to lack the accuracy and/or quality of dedicated emulators. > > I can't say with any definiteness that the PSX emulation quality > is better or worse with mednafen, but I *can* say that many > system specific features are easier to use in dedicated emulators > as opposed to mednafen, so I would strongly advise against removing > other emulators just because there's a "kitchen-sink" emulator that > already does it, though in this case I understand that you were > approaching it from the viewpoint that pcsxr was broken, which > obviously tends to change things. I agree with you, I'm not in favor of removing it just because mednafen also emulates PSX, I just don't want to keep broken software in the tree unless someone will be working on fixing it. Maybe we should add a MESSAGE saying that pcsxr is known not to work on intel graphic cards, until such time as it can be fixed? Thanks, Jeremy
