Attached is a port of xcolor which is a simple colour picker that prints to stdout the colour of the pixel clicked on. I like the fact that it shows you in a little circle the color what you're about to click on, which is much less error prone than any other picker I've tried.
Note that this isn't quite the latest version as that doesn't compile on OpenBSD; a fix has been merged, but a release hasn't been made (and, judging by the traditional schedule, might not be anytime soon). In the interim, I think this release is useful enough (though the next release will do a better job of allowing values to be put in the clipboard). Laurie
