I don't want to delegate my job of course. I am just interested in your
opinions because obviously I don't know enough about SMTP until now.
Therefore I want to thank you very much for the explanation. I didn't
recognize that it would be bad practice to use an MTA in order to store
such data over the long term.

Sorry for the mistake. Certainly the given task is about "additional
SMTP commands", not FTP.

I'll reconsider my idea and I'll definitely talk to my advisor. Many
thanks for your help.
