Dear Postfix experts,
checking the documentation for the relayhost parameter [0] I find no
indication how Postfix behaves in case of multiple relay hosts with
multiple DNS entries. Let us assume the following setting:
relayhost = mail1.example.com, mail2.example.com
In addition let us assume that mail{1,2}.example.com each have multiple
MX records, multiple A records and multiple AAAA records. How/in which
order does Postfix try to use the specified relay host candidates in
case of failures?
How does the behaviour change in the following cases:
relayhost = [mail1.example.com], mail2.example.com
relayhost = [mail1.example.com], [mail2.example.com]
