Those snippets are from postfix/local not smtp. smtp doesn't normally relay to local, afaik. ;) I included these snippets in an attempt to show that inbound delivery is very fast. Not understanding the smtpd process behavior at the time, wrt max_idle, I assume that fast delivery would equal smtpd exiting quickly. smtpd doesn't log delays afaict, so I included the local information instead.
