Hi everyone!

For decades I have used a home brewed "noip" server based on Debian. Mailing was used to be an exim4 with smarthost setup point to my internet provider's server. Now this easy life ended, and have decided build mine "own", what could use my home server as "smarthost". I do not want to receive emails, only send them, from only one "client" box my home brew server.

I was rent a vps and register a domain. Many reason point to postfix, as secure and still easy to setup MTA. I was starting to read documentation and found 4 standard configuration.

Which one is best fit for a mail server would be the "smarthost" for my home server?

There would be only one client for relay (my home server) and two users (me and my wife), but both of as using several different email addresses (about 20 years we collect them).

I trying to search google for such a setup, but after hours I do not have good description. "Send only" setup suppose to send emails from local host. "smarthost" setup always about ho to setup postfix on localhost to use a smarthost somewhere. I suspect that only coice is the fully "fleged" mail server setup, but I'm not sure.

Any help would be highly appreciated!
