My home server have no static, but public internet address using freedns. This weakness was draw me to use VPS with static, public ip address. I do not need to receive any emails on my VPS (I using my home server to that, storing emails starting from 2002 using dovecot and roundcube - we are happy with this). VPS also has strict limitation 20G SSD what is good for running OS and server apps but store something is dangerous (of course I could extend but it price - exponential) and at home I have plenty of backup storage. OFF: Later I have plans to use VPS more intensively, extend mail service for new domain and host one or two web pages. Seem to be I need sasl authentication between my home server and vps server. That mean I need to study how do it with exim4 (on my home server). Really thank you for your help! tovis
