I have exhausted my attempts with plesk docs, and plesk support is out of the
realm due to the age of the install, Plesk version: 12.5.30 Update #79 , 
last updated at Dec 22, 2020. I don't want to upgrade further as that means
I would have to do far more work to set up the mailing server program, as well
as other settings.

Have you tried to search in plesk documentation and/or contact plesk
