Classification: DCL-Internal

Hi Dan,

That looks great - but where is that setting? I'm running 2018.0 and I don't
see it in either the parameters under the writer connection, or the feature
type parameters for the table writer. I am using dynamic mode, but didn't see
it if I changed that back to non-dynamic mode either.

Hello Bryan,

You should be able to control this by setting "Create Generic Geometry Columns"
to "No" in the settings for your PostGIS writer:

Is it possible to change the type attribute in the geometry_columns view? All
the data I am migrating with FME from Oracle is being set to GEOMETRY and I'd
like to set it to the appropriate type if possible.

I didn't see anything in the manual on how to do that post 2.0 (if it is still
possible).

Thanks in advance...
