About this other approach - it's based on swzoh's idea of parsing an existing script file and grabbing the @Labels from it. I liked that since I didn't have to rewrite, or reformat all my scripts. These @Labels serve as the aliases. I have *hundreds* of scripts in that one file, so swzoh's method was a bit slow when PP started up. I've managed to speed this up a bit by keeping a static text file to initialise the vector of aliases. When I add new aliases, I run an "AliasRefresh" command to update the vector file. All in all, I'm *very* happy with the approach. It allows me lightning access to hundreds of scripts without having to remember aliases like "psqt". Aliases can be as descriptive as you want them to be, with the restriction that they are one word - but that's no problem using underscores etc ... -- Ravi (http://shell-shocked.org) PowerPro 3.8.11 on Windows XP "A phoneless cord: For people who like peace and quiet." ------------------------ Yahoo!
