I gather that password protected zips, if made with
a long password, are difficult to crack open.

You could give the zip an deceptive name, like it is
a program download, and stash it where you store other
zip files.

If you're really paranoid, spend ten minutes making
20 encrypted zips, 19 of which are dummies; each uses
a different password. You only need to remember one
password - for the real zip.
