Do you mean Windows or windows? Powerpro's Vdesks feature doesn't affect Windows (the OS) it only affects windows (the things). I think it works by hiding some windows and unhiding others. When you switch desktops, one is hidden and the other is unhidden. In its "Applications" tab, Task Mgr doesn't show hidden windows, [if they are set by vdesks to be "hidden from the taskbar"; see Sean's note about that. If you check "Show windows from all desktops on taskbar" then it will be more like all the windows on the currently non active desktops get minimised rather than fully hidden. There's no such concept as a running app being inside or outside of PowerPro. After starting PP you can move pre-existing windows between the virtual desktops. If you make one app sticky (Desktops Setup "Windows to be shown on all desktops") that app will seem to be "outside" of vdesks influence, because vdesks won't hide it when you switch desks.
