There is something unique about the option to enable hotkeys in doc/console
windows. Disable that, and F12 will work. (ppro configure | Key/Mouse tab |
Setup button | Uncheck "Recognize keyboard hot keys when dos console window
is active" )

Alan, under the help section:
Hot key and mouse "Setup" dialog
Can you add to this paragraph:
You can specify that PowerPro should recognize keyboard hotkeys entered when
a Dos or console window is active, except for tap keys and *Macro keys. Gray
check if you find slow performance with *Keys commands; however, if you gray
check you may have problems if you send hot key characters with *Keys.

--------------

Here was a message from bruce 3/19/04:
"This is a Windows restriction when PowerPro uses the built-in
RegisterHOtKey function. You can have PowerPro use a different approach by
unchecking "hot keys should still work when console window active" on
keys|setup, but then of course hot keys will not work when console window is
active.

I'll add this to help.

Here is MS verbiage:

Windows NT4 and Windows 2000/XP: The F12 key is reserved for use by the
debugger at all times, so it should not be registered as a hot key. Even
when you are not debugging an application, F12 is reserved in case a
kernel-mode debugger or a just-in-time debugger is resident."
