In the case of Firefox, you may use
win.show("=firefox") (<- not window.show()).
If you use it, one more window will become visible than you expect,
but you won't notice it. Or you may use:
win.show("c=MozillaWindowClass")
but it could interfere with Thunderbird too (:I see you use it too).

I don't know about winamp, as I don't use it. But, there could be
other ways too: using active bar with checking the option to show
traymin/hidden windows in the active bar and exclude those you want
by specifying the caption lists of the command list. Or ...
