I am sorry Ed, but I didn't find an option to change the position of the bar under "Bar" or "Menus and Bars." I have two buttons for "vertical" but none for "horizontal."
No button is changing, it is just adding a butterfly icon on the bar for every page I visit, in case I want to go back there, I guess. I'm not using any menus on PowerPro, just the bar. I'm talking about any menus on my browser. Does this help? Thank you. We would need more information about the button that is changing. To change a vertical bar to horizontal just go to "Properties" for the command list (bar) that you want to change. It will be under the "Bar" tab. For the drop down menus, try changing the menu position to "Center under mouse". That way the mouse will already be over the menu when it pops up keeping focus on the menu.
