Very interesting! Are you finding that you need to put a lot of waits between writes? In my previous experiments with windows pipes I've never been able to read/write at full speed reliably.
I ran your scripts a few times on my win2k sp4, and eventually got powerpro to crash. However, I was trying to use your listen script with a command-line pipe write client, so that may be the cause of the crash. However squared, your listen script didn't receive anything from the command-line client. I was using \\.\pipe\powerpro as the pipename. The command-line client is WriteNamedPipe available here http://gearbox.maem.umr.edu/fwu/ Nice work --sgp Attention: PowerPro's Web site has moved: http://www.ppro.org Yahoo!
