hello

after installing the latest ppro version a couple of scripts 'broke'.
the *keys commands missbehaved strangely and irregularly during
impulsive cpu arousal. i was able to fix that by inserting some {w1}
here and there ... (using 'slow keys' as default)
all those *keys commands started with {apps}
they were dealing with foobar2000 and it's masstagger plugin

just now i discovered something that seems related and should be
reproducable for you.

what:
a hotkey with ctrl modifier and 'tap apps' causes high cpu usage but
only on top of certain windows. that seems to include all console
aplications like cmd.exe or mplayer.exe . the console app will freeze.

what else:
this situation can be terminated by changing the focus
but alt+tab acts unexpected: typing alt+tab once focuses the next
window for a second but then the original window (the console one)
gets focus again. (it matters how fast you type alt+tab)

can someone confirm?

important:
i reproduced it using a default configuration altered just to NOT use
'fast keys'. (the bug does not occour with 'fast keys' enabled)

since fast keys somehow never seem to work for me acitvatng them would
be no workaraound for me.

i find it incredibly hard to concentrate on the technical stuff
currently .... hope i am not writing crap and hope my keyboard is not
sending crap.

i am using winxp without any software that could interfere and the
hotkey and those *keys scripts worked fine with earlier ppro versions
and the same setup.
