It seems that some of the hooking codes that HookWindowsEvents uses need an Administrative Previledge in NT-based OS's. I once experinced a similar problem: an application which used to work fine even in 'Restricted Users' account in W2K (:the Drive was formatted in FAT32, not in NTFS) suddenly stopped working after an upgrade, except in Administrators account. I couldn't understand it as it appeared to me just a minor update for interface decorations, no drastic changes in features. Shortly after I found out that they updated the programming language too from Delphi6 to Delphi7 while upgrading the app. It seemd that during these changes they replaced/modified with some codes which require an Administrator Previledge being not aware of. > In a multiuser situation, there can be multiple copies of powerpro.exe and pprotray.exe running at the > same time, each one under a different user account. I can't see any reason to prevent 'fast user switching'. I even suspect that it's possible to use the same pcf file across the fast switches. OK, it's highly likely to cause serious problems sooner or later, however, seems to be possible at least in principle. Anyway, I believe it's possible to fast-switch with one copy of PP with different pcf files, if the pcf file and the pprofolder of each user are assigned proper previledges, especially the write previledge, in case when the drive is formatted in NTFS.
